This is the translation of State Counsellor statement with regard to Paletwa, Chin State.
I am really glad to hear that food aid has been delivered to those who are in need of food supply in the Chin state, Paletwa region on the 19th April 2020 afternoon.
I am planning for the long term economic and development programs for those who live in Paletwa and should be ready when there is peace and stability in the area.
We are trying our best to prevent, control and face COVID 19 in the country. I am grateful for the army for their efforts to maintain security in that area and recognise the sacrifices they are making because ULA/AA terrorist group is trying to sabotage in Chin and Rakhine states.
I am really sorry to hear that some civilians have died and some are wounded during the conflict in Chin and Rakhine states. We will try to help all those civilians affected by the conflict.
I am determined to pursue and achieve peace because the armed conflict destroys peoples' lives and results in poverty and famine. Peace is the only way to avoid that.
